in my sewing room------ civil War block 13

To day, just not much to blog about , I'm still working on my quilts, hope to be done next week on them and be ready to quilt, one quilt will be hand quilted and machine quilt on the other one, and my spider web quilt i haven't decided how i will quilt it. My quilt as you go will already be quilted, all i have to do is put the binding on it, so see in my world, everything is going OK. I will be working on the no. 13 civil war block today and got to do a little cleaning in this house. I have little fella today, he inform me that he want me to make him Lasagna and salad with garlic bread for Sunday dinner, he is just 3 , and was planning my Sunday dinner, so this will be what we will have. this past Sunday after church we when to my daughter house for my oldest granddaughter 19th birthday, I made her favorite cake, it was Hersey bar almond cake, we all had a good time. This will be all, for now hope every is having a good week. Matthew 5 verse 14 -15-16 You are like light for the whole world. a city built on a hill cannot be hid. No one lights a lamp and put it under a bowl; instead he puts it on the lamp stand, where it gives light for everyone in the house, In the same way your light must shine before people, so that they will see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven.

in my sewing room------ Meet myself going or coming!

To day a slow day. tired from the week in. Our church had a 3 day revival, and had my 3 granddaughters, and we lose a dear friend / cousin this week, she was 66 years old and had cancer and she just couldn't beat it. May she rest in peace. With going to the funeral home and church it was a busy week in. Sunday the family was here for dinner and in the afternoon it was the funeral, and back to church Sunday night.We took our granddaughter home after church I think they was tired also.

Today, i did work some on my egg money quilt, got all the border put on and i ran out of my fabric, I like 6 strip to finish it. Old POO!
I was going over to the quilt shop but little fella when to sleep, I think he is taking a cold. hope he's not, I don't like for them to feel bad. I was going to get the fabric there to finish it, and this will be two quilt top ready to be quilted. I'm still working on my spider web and the quilt as you go, I like 12 more blocks! YAAAAY!!!

Saturday my 3 granddaughter and I work on one of my flower bed and fix a bird house and put there , on Sunday morning before church we saw a blue bird building her nest in it. It has been some pretty weather here so I like to be outside doing some cleaning in my flower beds and the grands like to help.

in my sewing room------ reversible quilt!! :)

Today in my sewing room, i have been working on my egg money quilt block, and them i will put another block of my spider web together and will also put the center together for my quilt as you go, i have been working on this for a long while, it have been put up but now it is out and being work on. It will be a reversible quilt ,on one side is all done in blues and the other side is in all color of print. the strips are 1 1/2 inch strips. I sew the center strip by machine and this stitching can't be seem, and the rest of the strip are done by hand and when i sew them on the quilting is done, so I get several block done and take them to my mother in law to work on when i set with her at night. The quilt is 100x 120 size, but I'm not going to make mine this big, just want to get it done, Wish i could put the picture on here and show it, it is making a pretty quilt. In this pattern book it is called Spring Amish.The book is called Our Best Scrap Quilt.......

Today I have my little fella, a pretty quiet day, also doing some laundry, and cleaning the house a little, from the week in.

It was a raining Saturday, had my granddaughters and when done my weekly shopping, Sunday was Church and family time.

in my sewing room------ Shinny!

This is little fellow, he just finish eating and when to sleep . but i want to share this little story with you all, his great papaw was in the hospital and was coughing really bad, he told me that papaw ate some rock and that was why he was coughing, so i told him he was really old and had a lot of health problem, he said gran gran , (He called me gran gran) you are not getting old you are still shinny, i look at him and he had the sweetest smile on his face it just melt my heart! Grandchildren are so special.

Today i didn't get much done was planning on going to a fabric shop but when to wal mart and back home and the day was just about over. My hubby and i when to a new place to eat to night we also had our granddaughter (Cupcake) that what i called her, any way the food and they had a band was good.

Sunday will be church, and i will have my younger daughter 39 birthday dinner with all the family..I have done the cake and pie tonight, i have got the salad made so i want have to do that in the morning' just do the rest of the food in the morning before church....

in my sewing room------ MONDAY, MONDAY!

There was a song called Monday Monday ,back in my younger day, but now my Monday is a busy Monday, I'm tired today don't know if i will get as much done. My list is to do laundry, clean my dinning room and of course i have little fellow ,he is tired to and he has not been to busy this morning.......

Today for my sewing, I will be doing my civil war block of Barbara Brackman follow along,and a block on my egg money quilt.I will have four block done on this quilt, it has been going good, and i like the reproduction of the 30 prints.

On Saturday, i went to a fabric shop in Hart county, and got some civil war prints and a couple of 30 prints ,I love going to this little shop, the name is SEW HAPPY and I'm happy when i can go.....

I had 3 of my grand kids this week in and we took them home on Sunday night, My granddaughter Laura had her 9th birthday party and every one had a good time. We all when to church and all the family was here for dinner and it was a good day........

This was my week in hope everyone else had a great week in.....

in my sewing room------ Egg Money?

Monday in my sewing room, Well first I want to wish everyone Happy Valentines Day! Back to my sewing for to day, I have got my fabric ready for block no. 7 for the civil war follow along of Barabara Brackman, and strips for my spider web blocks... YEP, I started another quilt called Egg Money quilt by Eleanor Burns, I have been collecting reproduction fabric of 1930 feed sack, it said back in the 30's ladies would take their egg money and buy fabric and use their feed sack also, I love this type of fabrics. When i was a little girl my mom and grandma would make us feed sack skirt or jumper to wear with our little white blouse. I have got my Milky way quilt top finish the size is 80 by 95 so it is good size quilt, now got to get it quilted.....

Today is also wash day for me, got the washer going and to clean the house a little from the week in. I have little fellow and cupcake they will kept me busy also, but they are so funny, i love to listen to them talking and planning what they think they are going to do.......

We had a good week in, it was the last week in for my grand kids basketball, so Saturday we got to see our grandson last game at his school and his sister also. them we went to another school and got to see the twins play their last game, they are all really good little ball player.Sunday it was church day and the family was here , our guest for dinner was our pastor and his daughter , all in all very nice day......

I think Spring is in the air, it is going to be a very pretty day!

in my sewing room------ civil war block 6, Monday blog!

Today it is raining, maybe a little snow also. You can smell Spring when i'm outside, hearing the birds and seeing the robins and the greese is flying back north, so this tell me spring is on the way!

Today just have little fellow, we have been working on a puzzle, he like working on them and he needed some help from granny, he put the last piece in and said we did it..

The weekin was good, we when to the twins, basket ball game ,and they stay with us this weekin, and cupcake was here also, they when home sunday afternoon. Sunday was church, and my other daughter and family didn't make it for church, so they wasn't with us today, We miss them not being here. My older daughter had to work and we just had the grandaughters, and my mother in law for dinner....

To day my projects are, washing clothes, working on the civil war block and putting the rest of my milkyway quilt top together.....

I don't have many follower and this morning i have less, i know it is because I don't have pictures of my projects on here, i take pictures, i give them to my daughter to put on for me , but she is alway busy and don't get them on.LOL but i really enjoy my blogging and making friends, Bloging friends is like haveing pen pal ,but you get to see what everyone is working on from all over....Bless each and everyone!
