in my sewing room------ civil war block 4

Today work on block 4 of Barbara Brackmen civil war quilt blocks, really enjoy following along weekly on this block.I have fell in love with a quilt called Patriots and Petticoat it is a civil war quilt , I would love to do this, but it is a block of the month quilt and the pattern is very high, I was told it cost $72.00 for the pattern and them you would have to buy the fabric, the cheapest I have found is $24.95 a month+ shipping and that is for 11 month, a very expensive quilt but is beautiful!Love at first site! !Oh well move on.
I have little fellow and cup cake to day and they have been busy, so I want get to much done today. On Sunday after church I had my husband 67th birthday dinner with all of the family here, I cook everything before I go to church and when i get back I did the rolls so they would be hot, we all had a great time, no one had to work and we all was together. My husband favorite cake is cocoa cola cake with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge sauce on top. YUM!
I did take pictures so maybe just maybe my daughter will put them on for me and i have pictures of my blocks also.
this all for today, have a great WEEK!
Ephesians6; verse 24 May God's grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with undying love.

  1. I've seen that Civil War BOM and it IS nice! You know, instead of spending so much money on the pattern [they are outrageously expensive!]you could see what the block for the week is, then find it on line, free! Then you could enjoy making the blocks along with everyone else, but not go broke! Your family Sunday dinner sounds like so much fun! Can I come next time?
